It can be easily described as one of the most stylish, unique and sexiest mopeds known to exist…

The Sachs MadAss is a product of German Engineering. And, no, it is not manufactured by one of the companies that recently popped up with the scooter/moped boom. In fact, SFM GmbH, the manufacturer of MadAss, is one of the world’s oldest motorcycle manufacturers. The company, initially manufacturing only bicycles, started doing business as early as 1886. Moving to motorcycle production in the early 1900s, today they are still in business and known as the manufacturer of one of the coolest bikes in history, the MadAss!

The Sachs MadAss moped is available both in 49cc and 125cc. For more info visit http://www.sfm-bikes.de/.

The integration of the fuel tank into the bike's frame and the exhaust hidden under the seat gives it a bicyclish look.

Watch the fun MadAss commercial video below.

And some MadAss stunt!

Norman Hyde, a former drag racer from UK, with various World Records, completed one of the slowest rides of his career in aid of Help for Heroes, a charity formed to help those who have been wounded in Britain’s current conflicts.

This was a big challenge for Hyde, as he had to cope with the slow speed of the 50cc Easy Rider moped, he had to ride for the cause. Built by the Norton-Villers-Triumph group in in the 1970’s, the Easy Rider can go up to 30mph.

Easy Rider Moped

Hyde participated on the John O’ Groats to Lands End run, as a member of the Triumph Trident Owners Club. Starting in John O’Groats, the team of riders took turns to ride the length of the country and Hyde rode the section from Telford to Glastonbury, a distance just over 150 miles.

The journey took six days to complete and finished on April 1. You can support the cause by giving donations at http://www.justgiving.com/norman-hyde/.

Moped madness starts…

And Hyde’s moped madness ends…
